These cliffhangers are killing me....is...
OK, ATF ***** must die....I thought Kohn was evil...well, meet his twin. Agent Stahl has now way passed despicable, annoying, and just plain gross. Otto come out, come out wherever you are...she needs more attitude adjustment. Kicking Gemma, setting up Opie, putting Donna and the kids in jeopardy, lying to Bobby, dissing Hale (although, he deserved it....what was he thinking with!!)....yeh, it is her time to go.
AND Tig, WTF?  You too, Clay. When did these two fall off the smart bus and become blind? Anyone can see beyond a shadow of doubt that Opie was set up. Why are they so quick to believe that one of their own would sell them out?? Opie and Donna are desperate not stupid. Tig is just always too ready to believe the worst...especially of the "young ones".
Hale needs to come in and do the right thing....this is not an honorable way to take SAMCRO down. He also needs to give Unser a get out of jail for free card.
AND....whoa baby.....what is Ms. Manipulative Gemma up to?? (Forget all other roles, Katy Sagal was born to play Gemma.)
I will say it one more time....I love this show. I hope the hiatus is not a long one!

Happy Veterans Day!
Don't know if this will get posted on the right day and time or not.....just wanted all The Veterans out there to know how much you are appreciated!!

THANK YOU!

Interesting follow-up to last week's...
Appeared to be lots of stand-offs with many of the main characters in this one with nothing fully settled at the end (except for the traitor getting popped), which just leads us into many different ways this could go.
Clay was pretty impressive the way he handled Unser, Darby, and the Mayan. AND I definitely did not see that one coming where the son is sacrificed for his failures and to make good on the insult given.
Gemma, as I suspected, went right after Tara....another standoff. So does Mama win or does Tara dig in her heels?? Tara appears to be too confused and conflicted, which quite frankly she doesn't need to unload those feelings onto Jax. He definitely has enough ***** to handle right now.
I am surprised The Irish survived....he lost a lot of blood. I was GLAD to see that Tara stepped up to the plate and saved his life.....like I said before I think she owed it to the club.
Another standoff was Tig and Jax....WTF??
I think Gemma needs to have a little sidebar with Opie's wife. Donna comes across as high-strung and erratic - she even makes me nervous. I get why she is upset, but I don't get her unwillingness to hear Opie out on the issue at hand.
Next week the Feds are back in Charming and going after "the innocents".....I don't see anybody willing to give SAMCRO up even to save their own ***** (but hey this week's episode surprised me soooo...). Of course shutting down the ***** Producer's livelihood might make it happen, but I think she's in too deep to do something that stupid. (hmmm....no pun intended)
I am interested to see what is actually in that folder and if Mr. Dead ATF is reaching out from the grave to strike another blow at SAMCRO.
Love this show!!

And so it begins...
Another good, intense episode.
I really have an issue with chicks getting guys in trouble (they are fully capable of doing that on their own)....and killing an ATF guy (although, much deserved) and compromising your principles has trouble written all over it. By Tara bringing her problems to Jax's door, it all goes to him now. Whatever direction he may have tried to take with the club is over. From the previews of next weeks show, the symbolism seems to be in the burning or burying of the journal. No going back now.
I hope that Tig takes a step back before rushing in. The Darby-slime needs to be taken out by SAMCRO or The Mayans. SAMCRO is coming after The Mayans regardless. SAMCRO may just have some IRA joining them as well. I don't see the IRA stepping aside for this one.
Glad to see that Prospect has become a psychic...lol....must have known there was a need for a club ambulance. (I think that Tara should have offered to help the IRA guy.)
A butt-naked Jax is not a bad thing at all just wish it had been a different girl and circumstance.
SOA makes you think and re-think long after the episode is over.
Mr. Sutter don't take too much down time before airing Season 2!

Sneaker Controversy
There has been much said about Jax's sneakers (they don't bother me, but seem to be a bone of contention to some). I have never been part of a MC so cutting him some slack for the loose clothing and white sneakers is no problem for me.
Perhaps Mr. Sutter can do a whole episode around "White Sneakers" in Season 2 and clear up this controversy...lol.
At least Jax did not have to take the guns out of "the tank" last week - he would have had to bury those shoes.
All in fun folks!
It's Wednesday and in a few hours much more to discuss.

Another Excellent Episode - thanks Mr....
Finally the ATF psycho-slime gets his due.....thank you Jax.
Glad that Prospect got the girl and hopefully he gets to keep her. I don't condemn what she did to get into the club and I don't condemn the guys that got a taste....it is what it is.....a different way of life and rules.
Gemma, Katy Sagal's character, continues to be interesting....do we love her or fear her.....what will she do to sway us either way. She has some serious brass ones and is totally invested in SOA......and what does that investment mean and what will it ultimately cost??
Not so sure that Jax and Tara getting together is a great idea....I just don't get the vibe of the 2 of them together. His focus has to be the club and its future.....and his son.
Great storylines tonight and it will be interesting to find out more about the bones.....and umm, Tig's necro-act may just be TMI......geez.
I vote that Mr. Sutter just goes right into Season 2 - forget the breaks.....keep the genius alive!

Tiger"man"
I really should not even call you out because to do that I risk giving you some kind of importance you do not deserve.
How do you keep escaping?
Does your Mama know what you do under the guise of anonymity - how totally disrespectful you are??
That is Mr. Sutter and Ms. Sagal to you.
You should be banned from all boards, but if you are looking for somewhere to spread your vitriol go to American Idol or Dancing with the Stars....you are seriously not welcome here.
This show rocks and alas you do not.

AsphaltWriter-"A Road Less Traveled"
My comment may one day drop down from the satellite it is on and appear on your post (I tried twice and decided FX must be in full-moon mode), but just in case....

I think this was excellent and is worthy of being set to music.

A road less traveled versus the road not taken.

Good stuff - thanks.

Semper Fi samcrogirl
Thanks for taking care of the Vets, samcrogirl. I agree that there are a lot of parallels between bikers and soldiers. I think it is a great idea to share Larry's (AsphaltWriter) words. It reminds me a lot of the Allman Brothers song "Midnight Rider".....the same haunting feel.
Good Stuff Larry - and samcrogirl had a great idea for a music video. I can easily hear the electric guitar or steel guitar solos. Definitely worthy of being played on SOA.
You share a lot of yourselves Larry and samcrogirl....thank you.
Lest we forget.....

After the fact...
Finally got to see Wednesday's episode tonight....got stranded out-of-town by the airline and in a hotel room with no FX......arrrgh!
I love this show - tonight ranks up with one of my top episodes to date (don't get me wrong - I love them all).
There are no pauses in SOA - it is just full throttle all the way. I like the tongue-in-cheek dry humor as well.
I hope Prospect gets to keep the girl. Gemma should have flipped the skateboard to Clay, but it is more real-life to strike out at the other woman than it is to your man. Gemma will figure it out. The Club is looking at trying to come up with $200k arms money....perhaps they should approach the government and ask for a bail out (forgive my cynical moment!). I would gladly take a bail-out and not give attitude.
Meanwhile, I can not wait until Jax gets that ATF slime....way past due to go after him. As always, very much looking forward to Wednesday when it appears Jax may be doing just that!  Kudos and hats off again to Sutter for a story that I look forward to seeing every week....the sooner the better!!

MC's then and now
While we countdown the days until Wednesday's new  SOA episode, I pose this question to those in the know: What differences have you seen in MC's over the years? Tried and true rules the day? Any disillusions or was the life what you thought it would be? Are The Ride and The Brotherhood equally important?
I bring these up for a couple of reasons: 1) I am interested in your opinions and thoughts and 2) I think that Jax is and will be facing issues regarding old vs. new vs. the original vision of SOA/SAMCRO.
Thanks for the, hopefully, forthcoming discussion.

Summarizing a fellow poster's words: Ride hard to freedom and never look back....not a bad philosophy.

Quote from SAMCRO - worthy to share
Your quote.......now that's funny!!

"Hell if anything we should be pushing the boundaries and making the old stereotypes of having to look like a backup singer for ZZ Top and have no teeth obsolete."

Good blog from Sutter about SOA
Check out Sutter's blog site - particularly read his blog about "SOA Growing An Audience" posted on 09.27.08.
So far it's all good.
http://sutterink.blogspot.com/2008/09/soa-growing-audience.html
Too bad they ran out of $$ to advertise....that is what initially caught my attention and made me want...waiting  seemed a long time...to watch the premier.

SOA - Keep Going
Last night's episode was another one of those that throws out the hook and I take the bait....I'm here - you got me and I want to see more.
I agree with some of the comments about the shoot out...by all rights most of the Mayans should have gone down hard with all that fire-power.
I didn't care for the women being club commodity items, but that's just my puritanical don't-like-to-share way.
The thing I found strange, with the exception of one or two, most of the Sons are pretty smart and very self and community aware. So why did they not appear to know about that sleazy, stalker Fed guy watching them everywhere?? I don't read intelligent from him...pictures are being taken and they don't know???

SOA - Episodes
Thanks for the previews to come SAMCRO.
Any word that SOA will be picked up for another season yet?
Every episode secures cliff-hanger status because I can't begin to guess where the story line is going....which is a good thing. After just a few episodes it remains intense and edgy.
