Thanks For the Debate NipTuckFanAddict

You're right NipTuckFanAddict, Matt's incest could definitely cause some good drama.  And I aggree with you.  Matt does seem to be inhereting bad choice-making skills from Christian.  You made a very good observation about how it could drive Christian crazy not being able to control the situation if it continues.  We definitely need something more for Christian's character to do besides what we've been watching him do lately, which is just lots of women and become almost completely irrephensable.  I don't think I spelled that right by the way. lol  And like you, I'm glad to see the show really blowing the envelope away again.  This season's been fun, but now we need more shocking and smart story lines to keep the show going.  You made some very in depth views, especially about Christian, and I thank you so much for bringing this debate to me.  I hope we can have some more thought provoking convos like this one.

I got a question for you:  I'm sure Julia's not dead, but where do you stand on killing her off?  I think all the relationships with her have been dead and decaying for a long time, except with exploring her and Christian's relationship.  And he screwed that up.  She's just so weak and always relies on everyone else to be interesting.  What do you think?

COMMENTS

Thanks for your comments! I'd love to have more thought provoking convos with you anytime as I truly enjoy them and someone who is open to them. I was totally expecting to get taken the wrong way in my view on this because a lot of people would be too uncomfortable to discuss it. As I said I am totally against the subject matter but feel that it works for the storyline here.

As for Julia, I have to say I honestly feel her character has been overplayed. I really doubt she is dead but have no problem if this is the direction they decide to go. The only sticking point for me is last years episode CONNOR MCNAMARA. It was done as a flash into the future where I feel it should have been Sean having a dream. But even so, I can accept them going in a different direction. I never really bought Matt becoming a doctor anyway, although it would be encouraging to see he actually did such a 180. I really think exploring Julia and Christian was a needed path to take but I am not at all surprised about the outcome. I've known several people like Christian and unfortunately they don't change, even for that one woman they consider the love of their life.

She’s a good actor and a fairly pivotal character. But it really can’t keep on the way it is, cause your right, she’s not bringing anything to the show right now she's just being a problem. They need to shape her character up. Hopefully the amnesia can give her a stronger attitude. And I'm definintly excited to see what Eden's gonna do next, she knows if Julia's memory comes back she's in trouble. Quite happy how that turned out.

Sean though... that was just weird. Just cause what can they possibly do with that? Clearly he can't die, that'd be a disaster. But what's the other option? He recovers, life goes on... anti-climatic. You know? For the season ending I'd hope it'd lead to something in the next season not just happen for effect.
Maybe he'll be left with some permanent damage. Or she could go hardcore serial killer/stalker ,avoid police and haunt his nightmares. What do you think about the whole thing?
