OK...Caught the first two episodes of Sons of Anarchy.  It has potential but is tripping itself up with too much Hollywood crap.  Have read the negative blogs...mostly on the mark.

The following suggestions would make the show a lot better and more accurate....I understand it is a show and has to be a little Hollywood.......but unless the producers want this to be a Biker Beverly Hillbillies Ripoff...they should read below

 

Negatives:

1.  Bikers are notorious patriots (something Hollywood does NOT understand)  Ron Pearlman's character is a Nam vet....they always wear the red, green, and yellow Nam patches...also the POW/MIA patch....did not see one!

2.  What is with the little ***** fairings on the bikes?  Afraid their hair will get messed up?  Lose the fairings and get a real biker as a technical advisor for the bikes...creative things can happen in this area....a bikers MC is his most proud possession...you do not get that "feel" from the show.  Also the motorcycle is how we show individuality….you’ll never see a club go out and buy the same girly little fairing and have them on all the bikes…!  Ridiculous…..

3.  Jax.  What is with the way Jax walks around?  He looks like an oranguatang with a ***** up his a**!  Is that supposed to be "biker swagger?"  STOP IT! It's freaking embarassing!  Rent a Clint Eastwood or John Wayne movie for crying out loud!  Also, why is he dressed like a skateboarder?  Baggy P Diddy pants and ghetto tennis shoes?  Do you think guys who use the "N" word want to dress ghetto?

4.  A prospect who is a vegetarian?  PLEASE!  IN a real club they would stuff five pounds of raw hamburger down his little "vegan" throat if they found out.

5.  Bikers are notorious practical jokers with their brothers at runs and parties....need more....

6.  The member Opie?  If that is the name I remember...if he really was a "stand up" member, had done hard time, had money problems, the club would be more helpful than what is in this show... a guy does a nickel for the club, and does not snitch, he is a hero....NOT ignored!

7.  More biker culture needs to be introduced.....one whole show could be a MC run...not ALL activites are criminal.....the way it is now, the show is just  the Sopranos with motorcycles in the background.

8.  Tell the writers and producers to stop watching “Biker Build Off” and “Orange County Choppers”…..those shows have NOTHING to do with being a biker.

 

Positives:

 

1.      Katey Segal has really caught the spirit…she is fantastic.

2.      Ron Pearlman is good as the Prez and Step Father.

3.      The Jax character is pretty good….just stop making him look like a skateboarder who needs a shower….and pull the ****** out of his ***** while you are at it..

 

I think this show has great possibilities and could be a lot more entertaining if it was more true to the genre.  Look at cowboy movies…..you had really good and really bad…..Sons of Anarchy has the possibility of being a “good” biker series…just understand your material better……
