It's Fantasy - Not Reality

Pay attention. It's a TV show - even the evening news is not true to reality! Its obligation is to draw an audience (anything about two wheels will do that - witness the OCC show) so sponsors will buy advertising time so actors, producers, crew and executives can get paid. To do that it needs to include enough reality, danger and suspense to titilate the audience, enough redeming value to placate the critics and to avoid crossing the lines which will draw down the FCC curtain.

If they give us a good story with even a small window on the life they'll need trailers to take their money to the bank.

Sit back, pop a beer and try to enjoy.
