I have contacted Kristin Dos Santos at Eonline, Michael Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly and Matt Rousch at TVguide.com requesting some scoop on The Riches. I have been doing this for months and they never respond. It is like FX is keeping the fate of The Riches so secretive that even the best gossip hounds in the entertainment business can not get any info. This seems strange, because if they were going to cancel it or if it had been cancelled, that news would have slipped out by now. On the other hand, this would mean they are keeping it alive somehow... but no news has surfaced that would back that theory up. Anyone else contacted entertainment sites and got zilch? Any other Riches stuff to report?
The most recent thing I've heard is that they tried to shop it to DirecTV and failed. I agree with what you're saying because we would know by now if it was canceled. I've been checking Todd Stashwick's myspace almost daily for an update but there hasn't been anything. Apparantly Eddie Izzard was on a talk show recently and didn't even mention the show at all. I did send something to Ask Ausiello, but that was right before he left for EW so he never answered it.

Yeah I stayed up until two in the morning to see Eddie, and all they talked about was his stand up, which isn't a bad thing. But I mean some news would have been nice.
But he was on Craig Ferguson, and that guy never lets anyone talk for too long. I hate that show. Hopefully Eddie does Conan where they actually get to answer some questions.

I am just curious if anyone else may be thinking what I am thinking? Maybe they are waiting to make any announcements until Minnie has her baby (Just in case something goes wrong...) before they make any announcements. Yeah, Eddie was on Craig Ferguson and he didn't mention it at all, but, he didn't mention any of the movies he's got coming out either. The last time he was on Ferguson, he did talk about the show, but, it was during the season.....They pretty much just talked rubbish the whole time..if you watch any of his Q&A's on You Tube from his tour, he does answer questions about the show....so let's keep positive and hope they bring it back.
